Commercial Gym Rig Installation — What to Expect

A professional gym rig installation ensures your equipment is structurally sound, safe to use and compliant with UK gym equipment standards. Here is what to expect.

By Gymstor Rig Co — Rackstor UK Ltd

Step 1 — Site Survey and Design

Every Gymstor installation begins with a detailed survey of the facility. We assess the floor slab, the structural walls, the clear height, the column positions and the available floor area. From the survey, we design the rig to maximise training stations within the space — producing a dimensioned layout drawing for your approval before fabrication begins.

Step 2 — Fabrication

All Gymstor rigs are fabricated in our UK workshop from structural steel tube. Components are cut, welded, ground smooth and surface finished — powder-coated in the agreed colour or left as raw steel for a functional aesthetic. Lead time from order to delivery is typically 3-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the rig.

Step 3 — Installation

Our installation teams erect the rig in accordance with the approved drawing. Floor fixings are chemically anchored to the slab at the correct specification for the structural load. Wall fixings are installed where applicable. All connections are torque-tightened and checked. The installation typically takes 1-2 days for most commercial gym rigs.

Step 4 — Load Testing and Handover

Every Gymstor rig is load-tested on completion before handover. We provide a written installation record confirming the rig has been installed in accordance with the design and is safe to load at the rated capacity. This documentation is essential for insurance and liability purposes. Call 0800 654 6955 for a free design and quotation.
